My Favorite Pet

I love pets especially the dog. When I’m a child around 10 years old, my mother bought a dog for me. I and my mother call him “FLUCK”. He is puddle. He is very small and has brown hairs. Eight years have passed, it small same as first time we met. Now, he is too old. He is touchy and greedy dog. His favorite food is Roas Ting Chaicken. When my mother buy Roas Ting Chaicken, Fluck always comes to request for it. He love to play with me such as throw the toy, then he give it back to me. I always take him to running in the evening. He don’t like when someone hold him except me and my parents. Although Fluck have some bad habit but I and my parents love him so much.

When Mr. Chukiat Utakapan, the late Amarin’s founder had brought together a group of associates and close friends to kick off the first issue of Baan Lae Suan (Home & Garden Magazine) in September 1976, the company officially came into existence under the registered name, Baan Lae Suan Magazine Limited Partnership. Years later, hoping to cope with the late delivery of the magazine often resulting from the outsourcing of printing work, the company set up its own small printing house with an initial intent to print Baan Lae Suan Magazine. Soon afterwards, the printing orders from outside customers started to pour in generating the company’s supplementary income. Reflecting the company’s growing business, the Baan Lae Suan Magazine Limited Partnership was renamed, Amarin Printing Limited Partnership.

Thanks to its satisfactory operational performances and business growth over the years, Amarin gradually transformed itself from a small limited partnership into a company limited called Amarin Printing Group Company Limited in 1987 and eventually in 1993 into a SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand) listed Public Company with its present name, Amarin Printing and Publishing Public Company Limited.
Also in 1993, Amarin’s business further expanded to include distribution services. The Company’s affiliate, Amarin Book Center Company Limited was established, of which 19% of registered capital currently belongs to Amarin Printing and Publishing Plc. Amarin Book Center not only oversees the distribution of the company’s products (magazine & book titles) and the publications of outside customers, but also operates Amarin’s network of retail outlets under the name of Naiin Bookstore.
Amarin owes its success to the philosophy and visions of the late Mr. Chukiat Utakapan, whose love of his work, commitment to the customers and dedication to quality has continued to inspire Amarin’s staff at all levels as reflected in his motto, “we work for the happiness and prosperity of the society.”
From its humble start in the publication of Baan Lae Suan Magazine back in 1976, Amarin has dedicated itself to responding to the ever-changing needs and diverse interests of the Thai readership. Thus, new magazines titles – each with its own unique content – were launched from women’s interests magazines like Praew, Sudsupda, We, Shape and InStyle to home improvement title like Room, or from the healthy lifestyle oriented, Health & Cuisine and Cheewajit to family and educational-based Real Parenting and National Geographic (Thai Edition). Moreover, the Company also owns 13 and still counting imprints, whose book titles – spanning a wide variety of interests – have won the hearts and loyalty of millions of readers nationwide. Amarin’s over 30 years of solid experience in publishing has very well prepared us to embark on the new business initiative i.e. becoming Thailand’s leading content business provider. Making use of our rich repository of knowledge, Amarin has diversified its business activities to include, among other things, tours and training, event management and organizer, TV programs and websites.

Today, Amarin’s core business components – publishing, printing, and distribution – have been geared towards providing quality services to our customers and making contribution the knowledge-based society.
